For SSAFA - the Armed Forces charity
SSAFA's London South East Branch is looking for a volunteer to help run the branch, as it supports veterans in the local area, co-ordinate volunteers and provide administrative support. Key tasks include: - Co-ordinating the branch admin and providing support to the volunteers in the area. - Working with the Chairman, Treasurer ensure the branch meets the requirements relating to GDPR, Safeguarding and policies and procedures appropriate to the organisation, with support and guidance from Head Office. - Oversee the casework across the branch and monitor training needs. - Maintain accurate records of volunteers and cases. - Provide administration for an annual programme of meetings. - Contribute to public awareness of SSAFA in the local area.
- Friendly and approachable (18+) with some experience of co-ordinating people. - Good administrative and organisational skills. - Good written and spoken English. - IT skills, including use of a Case Management System (training provided) and particular proficiency in MS Office 365 and Teams - or a willingness to learn/use. - Respectful, reliable and non-judgemental and keep within boundaries.

End Date: 28/12/2022
This role requires between 1 and 6 hours per week depending on the number of enquiries.
