We are looking for Wellbeing Volunteers that want to make a real difference to the lives of residents in Bexley who are directly impacted by the COVID-19 virus. If you are interested in promoting health and wellbeing, have good listening skills and want to develop your own skills, then this could be the perfect role for you!
As a Wellbeing Volunteer you will: • Be matched with a Community Connect client • Maintain regular contact with your Match via telephone • Encourage a positive attitude towards health and wellbeing • Help to reduce loneliness and isolation
• Be a good listener • Be committed and motivated to improve the wellbeing of others • Be available at your allotted weekly/fortnightly slot • Attend and complete (remote) induction/training sessions for this role • Take part in regular (remote) supervision sessions • Be able to communicate effectively with your Match • Be willing to learn about working with vulnerable people and follow our Safeguarding and Confidentiality policies • Follow our Equal Opportunities and Diversity policies
This role is flexible so can work around any commitments you have. We aim to match you with a client who can be called at a time that suits you.
This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
