SSAFA is looking for 2 Divisional Secretaries to cover Bexley and Bromley areas. The Divisional Secretary co-ordinates the day-to-day business in their particular area. This is a key role involving administration and co-ordinating people As first point of contact locally, you will play a key part in promoting SSAFA, matching clients to volunteer Caseworkers and supporting volunteers to get the best outcomes for their clients; the veteran community. Key tasks include: - Taking enquiries from potential volunteers and clients. - Matching new clients to available Caseworkers. - Inducting, co-ordinating and supporting volunteers in your division. - Providing reports to the branch executive. - Maintaining accurate records on our on-line case management system - Keeping your volunteers up-to-date with training and information pertinent to their role. - Volunteering within the standards and values of SSAFA and observing policies such as GDPR, Safeguarding, Confidentiality. - Promotion of SSAFA locally with assistance from local branch Publicity Officer and Head Office.

What skills do I need?

- Friendly and approachable with some experience of co-ordinating people. - Good administrative and organisational skills - Good IT skills and a willingness to train in the case management system with a proficiency in MS Office 365 and Teams - or a keenness to learn. - Respectful, non-judgemental, trustworthy and reliable. - An ability to work within guidelines and policies.
