Bexley Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) is recruiting 3 trustees to join the current 5 volunteer trustees on the BVSC Board. Everything we do is to strengthen our local Voluntary Community sector to be the best that they can be in supporting local Bexley residents and communities. Our members include organisations supporting a wide variety of community causes, from food banks to education, sport to domestic abuse.
We are interested in people who have worked in the health, commercial or housing sectors to bring new perspectives to our Board. No previous trustee experience is necessary, and we'd love to hear from anyone who thinks they could help BVSC grow and thrive. We would particularly welcome applications from people of colour, as we want to improve the racial diversity of our trustee board to strengthen our work.
As a BVSC trustee you will receive: • Induction, training and reimbursement of expenses • Opportunity to develop new skills and experience • Opportunity to contribute to strategic decision making which benefits hundreds of local Voluntary and Community organisations. There are 4 Trustee Board meetings per year and one AGM. We currently meet in the daytime but this is flexible depending on trustee availability. We have been meeting virtually since March and continue to do so, however anticipate that we will return to in person meetings when possible.
