We know that volunteering can be an incredibly rewarding experience. From new skills, to new friends, to rediscovering your confidence- there are so many ways that volunteering roles can bring out the best in us. Our Supported Volunteering programs offer extra support to people who want to volunteer but are feel like they could use a helping hand to get started.
Take a look at the two projects below to find out more about how we help people access volunteering.
Our LaunchPad project is here to help people access volunteering who might not feel confident taking that first step. This can mean anything from being diagnosed with a mental illness through to struggling with loss of confidence after a period out of work, or feeling anxious about launching into something new. We can help you feel ready to take off into the world of volunteering!
Learning Disabilities- Coming soon!
We have a long history of offering support to people with learning disabilities to help them get started. Unfortunately, due to challenges of Covid 19, we are not able to offer this service currently. But, don’t worry, we have been using this time to create a new exciting project to support people with learning disabilities! This will be packed with lots of different support to help you become a confident volunteer.
We are not quite ready to go yet, but we are working towards launching this in early 2021.
Check back at the end of the year to find out what’s happening and how to get involved.
