Foresters Homes Trust - Trustee

The Foresters Homes is a sheltered Housing Complex of 21 self-contained flats – 7 Doubles and 14 singles. They are set in their own landscaped gardens, secluded but very near Bexleyheath Shopping Precinct and shops. Anyone wishing to apply to be a resident, needs to be retirement age, fully retired and capable of caring for themselves.

we are currently looking for 2 more trustees to join our board.

Roles and Responsibility of Trustee at the Foresters Homes:

Attend Monthly Trustee meetings, held on Saturday mornings usually lasting no more than an hour and half.

Opportunity to be involved with coffee mornings and events.

If you have a particular skill you would like to share with the residents and would be willing to run a group that would also be welcomed to discuss.

Making joint decisions for the overall running’s of the Foresters Homes.

Commitment to improve the wellbeing of Residents. we would expect a minimum of a 12 month commitment

What skills do I need?

Knowledge of the history of Foresters Homes would be helpful but is not essential.

We would particularly welcome people with experience or knowledge in any of the following areas:

• Human resources
• Housing
• Conflict resolution
• Previous trustee or governance experience

Trustee training will be available, so you do not need to have been a trustee before. More importantly, we are looking for people who are committed, reliable and fair, with good communication and teamwork skills.
