Centrepieces Mental Health Project is a registered charity that supports adults in their mental health recovery through art. We provide opportunities for local artists to express themselves, participate in workshops, and display and sell their artwork to the public.

We are looking for reliable, welcoming Exhibition Stewards to support our upcoming autumn exhibition at Hall Place.

As a steward, you will be the face of Centrepieces during the exhibition—helping to create an inviting environment for visitors, promoting our mission, and processing artwork sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome visitors to the exhibition space and share information about Centrepieces and the artwork on display.
  • Engage with members of the public confidently and politely.
  • Process sales transactions for artwork and merchandise via card machine/cash.
  • Keep the exhibition area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Assist with day-to-day gallery operations during your scheduled shifts between 9.30am and 5pm

What skills do I need?

  • Reliability: Punctual and dependable for scheduled shifts.
  • Communication: Comfortable greeting visitors and engaging in conversation about the art and mental health awareness.
  • Basic Handling of Payments: Willingness to operate a card machine and process simple sales transactions (full training provided).
  • Affinity for the Cause: An interest in art, community projects, and mental health support.
