Do you enjoy engaging with young children and helping to create a friendly space for families?
We’re looking for caring and enthusiastic volunteers to join St Stephen’s Playgroup and help in creating a friendly, engaging and supportive space for young children (under 5) & carers. Collaborating with other volunteers, you’ll help with organising and running play activities and craft projects, preparing light refreshments and welcoming families into the group.
We meet Wednesday mornings, 9.30-12.
Responsibilities
Help with setting up and tidying away toys and craft materials.
Support children’s play and encouraging positive interactions.
Help with simple craft projects suitable for young children.
Prepare and serve teas, coffees for carers and snacks for children.
Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone attending.
Help run seasonal activities for under 5s and their siblings during half term breaks.
What skills do I need?
Required Skills
Friendly and approachable with good people skills.
Patience and a nurturing attitude toward young children
Basic organisational skills to help with setting up and maintaining play areas.
