At Community Hospice, we want everyone in our wonderfully diverse community to be able to approach death in the way that suits their values, beliefs and lifestyle. To be able to provide our end of life care, we rely on the kindness and generosity of those who support us through donations.

We’re looking for an eBay Volunteer to help us generate vital income from the online sales of donated items. If you have good digital skills, or experience of using online selling platforms like eBay, and want to make a difference locally, this could be the perfect role for you.

What you will be doing

- Taking photos of donated items we receive

- Researching the items details and selecting the best price

- Writing clear, engaging descriptions of products

- Uploading photos, descriptions and prices to eBay, Vinted, or Depop

- Liaising with the wider hub team via WhatsApp for specialist item research

What’s in it for you?

- Become part of a friendly team

- Learn new skills and build your confidence

- Enjoy a rewarding experience and make a meaningful difference in your community

- Receive an induction, relevant training, and ongoing support from your volunteer manager.

- Eligible for agreed out-of-pocket expenses reimbursement (within guidelines)

- Enjoy a 25% discount on all items (excluding furniture & new goods) and a 10% discount on furniture

What skills do I need?

- Good digital skills or some knowledge/ability with online selling

- Ability to write clear item descriptions

- Trustworthy and reliable
