As an outreach volunteer, you will help us connect with residents, community groups, and local organisations across Bexley. This role is all about being out in the community, having conversations, and helping people learn about the support, services, and opportunities available through BVSC. You’ll be a friendly face representing BVSC at events, community spaces, and local activities, helping us make sure everyone knows how to get involved, where to find support, and how to access volunteering opportunities.

Bexley Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) is the heart of community support in Bexley. We bring together local groups, charities, and volunteers to strengthen the voluntary sector and improve life for residents across the borough. From connecting people with volunteering roles to guiding organisations on funding, governance, and resources, BVSC works to build a thriving, resilient community.

As part of BVSC, Volunteer Centre Bexley focuses on promoting and developing volunteering. We help residents find meaningful roles and support organisations to recruit volunteers who can make a lasting difference.

Our Vision
We want a more inclusive, connected Bexley where everyone has the opportunity to take part in community life. We believe volunteering should be accessible to all, and we work to ensure the voluntary sector is recognised as a valued partner in shaping the borough’s future.

What skills do I need?

You don’t need experience—just a passion for community and a friendly attitude! If you’re comfortable talking to people, flexible with your time, and happy to get involved in a variety of settings, we’d love to meet you.
