For Counselling Matters Bexley
Join our compassionate team and provide vital emotional support to caregivers in our community. Our Carers project offers various forms of support to those caring for a loved one, and we are looking for dedicated, qualified volunteers to help us expand our support network. As a Volunteer Counsellor, you will provide confidential, one-to-one counselling sessions for adult carers. This is a crucial role that offers carers a safe space to talk about the challenges they face, develop coping strategies, and focus on their own well-being.
You would provide regular sessions to carers (eg, 12-18 sessions per client). This is offered to clients either in person, by phone or remotely.
Help Carers with a range of issues, such as stress management, anxiety and coping with the demands of a changing lifestyle.
You would work within the ethical framework of a professional body (eg, BACP, NCPS)
Participate in regular Supervision (Expenses are claimable towards this cost)
You would manage your own caseload and maintain accurate, confidential records of your work in line with GDPR.
Hold a recognised counselling qualification (eg, Diploma or Degree)
