About Beyond Braidz

Beyond Braidz CIC is a community organisation that uses creative skills development, wellbeing initiatives and entrepreneurship to empower children, young people, and families. We create culturally inclusive spaces that build confidence, strengthen community connections and provide pathways to independence through practical learning and community engagement. Our women programme is Beyond Sisterhood Sanctuary-a safe space for women to connect, develop skills and thrive.

Purpose of the Role

Our Community Event Support Volunteer will play an important role in helping us deliver welcoming, safe and engaging community events. Whether supporting workshops, family activities, wellbeing programmes or community celebrations, volunteers help ensure participants have a positive and meaningful experience.

What skills do I need?

We are looking for volunteers who are:

  • Friendly, approachable and welcoming.
  • Passionate about supporting communities.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Good communicators with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work well as part of a team.
  • Organised and willing to use their initiative.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a busy event environment.

Desirable Skills

Although not essential, it would be helpful if you have experience in:
