For Sirens & Sparkles First Aid
Help make a difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Sirens & Sparkles First Aid CIC is looking for caring and enthusiastic volunteers aged 18 and over to join our inclusive first aid and life skills clubs.
Working alongside our Club Manager, Youth Leaders and volunteer team, you'll help prepare and deliver engaging activities, support members during sessions, encourage participation and help create a fun, safe and welcoming environment where everyone can thrive. As you gain experience, you'll also have opportunities to lead activities or run parts of a session, with support from the Club Manager.
You'll gain valuable experience working with children and young people with a wide range of additional needs while developing new skills, building confidence and making a real difference in your local community.
Some volunteers may also support members with personal care, including toileting and changing, where appropriate. Full training and guidance will be provided, and personal care will always be carried out in accordance with our safeguarding, dignity and personal care policies. Volunteers will never be expected to undertake personal care without the appropriate training and support.
No previous experience is required. We provide a full induction, safeguarding, SEND awareness and role-specific first aid training before or during the early stages of volunteering.
We are looking for volunteers who are:
+ Friendly, caring and approachable. + Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND. + Good communicators with a positive attitude. + Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team. + Willing to learn new skills and take part in training. + Confident supporting or leading activities with guidance from the Club Manager. + Respectful of confidentiality and able to maintain professional boundaries. + Comfortable supporting members with a wide range of needs. Opportunities to assist with personal care are available for volunteers who feel comfortable doing so, following appropriate training. + Committed to creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for our weekly clubs in Sidcup. Sea Turtles (ages 5–10): Saturdays, 2:30 pm–3:45 pm. Otters (ages 11–17): Thursdays, 6:00 pm–7:15 pm (please note this session may change to a second Sea Turtles club if there is greater demand from younger members). Volunteers are asked to arrive approximately 30 minutes before each session to help set up and remain for approximately 30 minutes afterwards to help tidy away and take part in a short team debrief. Volunteers are welcome to support one club or both, depending on their availability. Training sessions and occasional volunteer meetings will be arranged in advance, with dates agreed wherever possible to accommodate everyone's availability.
