Volunteer Digital Champion: Help Others Get Online and Build Their Digital Confidence!

Inspire Community Trust is looking for friendly and patient volunteers to support library users with a range of digital and IT-related tasks. As a Volunteer Digital Champion, you will provide one-to-one support to help people gain confidence using technology and access essential online services.

Typical Support May Include:

  • Setting up email accounts
  • Using the internet and online search tools
  • Job searching and creating CVs
  • Help completing online forms and blue badge applications
  • Helping new users get online
  • Accessing council and government services
  • Supporting people with smartphones, tablets, and laptops
  • Researching and resolving basic IT queries

We Are Looking For People Who:

  • Have good basic IT skills
  • Are patient, friendly, and approachable
  • Enjoy helping others learn
  • Have good communication skills
  • Can volunteer independently and as part of a team

What skills do I need?

We are looking for patient, friendly individuals who are strong communicators and genuinely enjoy helping others. We welcome volunteers who are enthusiastic, approachable, and keen to make a positive difference to someone's life by improving their digital confidence and skills.

As a Digital Champion, you will have access to online training resources and ongoing support, becoming part of a team dedicated to reducing digital exclusion within the community.

You should be willing to learn new skills, keep up to date with technology and digital services, and be confident and experienced in using digital devices such as computers, tablets, and smartphones.
