To assist in the delivery of Bexley Library Service's Summer Reading Challenge and related activities. Encouraging children and young people to discover the pleasure of reading. Volunteers must be 16 or over and will be asked for a minimum commitment of 15 hours over the six week period. (July to mid-September) This is a fun, flexible and rewarding opportunity to talk to children about their book choice and reward them with a certificate and medal. We need Volunteers across all our Bexley libraries.

What skills do I need?

A good general education. Warm, polite, welcoming and friendly manner. Reliable and dependable. Organised and able to keep accurate records. Good Communication skills. Commitment to equal opportunities and diversity.

Availability Details

This role is during the School Summer Holidays. Volunteer can chose dates/times they are available with Branch they are placed in. This is usually 4 hours per week.
